I know that we in the Christian adoption community toss around the tagline "We may not all be called to adopt, but we are all called to care." The thing about it is that it's not just a tagline. It's the truth! Adoption IS the heart of God, and even if you have no desire to bring a child into your home, even if you are too scared to let yourself consider it, even if you are hoping to one day, but just can't right now... there is still work to be done! The work, the heartache, the struggle doesn't end with a big pretty bow the minute our new children finally come home... that's just the beginning. All that time and effort and emotional investment to bring these children home, that's just the beginning. Life comes after the paperchase! Now, please, take a few minutes and READ!
