It was never forgotten. The saga of the Bai Jia Bei may have taken longer than originally anticipated, but I'm so thrilled to say that it's DONE! Thank you to everyone who sent in pieces all those years ago, and MAJOR thanks to Laurie, who graciously and generously gave up her time to cut and sew (and even share brownies)! I love the way it turned out, and Asher does too! Each piece is such a special part of his story!
Here it is!
The border and back are made with this cool batik fabric I bought when we were in Guangzhou, and though you can barely see it, the quilting stitches are done with red thread!
Asher was excited to show his quilt to Benjamin.
He was also so sweet to tell Benjamin that he wished he could share it with him. (He then proceeded to tell Benjamin that they could cut in half and each have a piece... we'd better come up with a better plan quick!)
This boy is a blessing... wrapped in a quilt of blessings!
... and then Benjamin wanted to be wrapped up...
...and heaven forbid we leave out Zach...
Thank you again, everyone, so very much! I love this!
I see my square!! :) haha! I love it!!! Sooooo fun!
