We got an update on Little Miss Leah yesterday! It was really surprising, because I wasn't expecting it at all. With both boys, we didn't get any kind of update until pretty much the same day we got Travel Approval. So, I wasn't expecting it so soon.
When we got our LOA, we were allowed to submit five questions about her, and I was also pleasantly surprised to see that the CWI had addressed each one of them! Some of the answers were typically lost in translation, but I do appreciate that they took the time to review them, and some answers were very helpful to know.
Little Miss was TEENY TINY when admitted to the CWI, if the measurements were accurate! 3.3 lbs! But she has clearly grown and is doing well. Here she is, dancing with a little friend who is in several pictures with her. From the blurry shot of the wiggly girl with her silly tongue sticking out, I can tell she will fit in just fine around here!
In other exciting news, I got verbal confirmation of our I-800 approval yesterday. That's another step forward! No, we still don't have travel dates, and we won't know when that will be for a while longer, but we are getting close! I'm still hopeful that we will meet our precious girl in August!
In the meantime, there is much to do and much to prepare! Papa has been working hard transforming the playroom into a bedroom. We've been shuffling and re-arranging bookshelves, and planning out who and what will go where. The kids just finished up two weeks of swim lessons, and the summer is keeping us busy. Plenty to distract Momma with, but the thought of holding this sweet girl is always at the front of my mind! We love you, Leah! Can't wait to meet you!
